Palma is the capital of Mallorca island and Balearic Islands and one of the best things it has is the infinite list of things to do in summer and winter. In fact, Palma offers perfect plans in winter. Then, keep on reading and you’ll be booking your flight tickets soon. And, when you do it, you’ll know what to do in Palma this winter.
Palma is a small town with a lot of things to do. Pay attention!
Start your visit with the Cathedral –La Seu, as it is known in Palma-. You may visit its interior, stained glass windows and its gothic sculptures. If you are there on February 2nd or November 11th, do not miss “the 8’s show” early in the morning (more info here)
Then, have a walk down the city center, its alleys, small artisan shops and luxury international brands.
Bellver Castle is an interesting visit due to its architecture and because it is surrounded by nature. And it is free on Sundays. It is the unique rounded castle in Spain.
Party do not ends in August. Try any of the parties developed in Palma in winter like San Sebastián (patron saint of the city). It is on January 20th and there are lots of activities to join. You will be surrounded by “correfocs” where demons, fire and music will be everywhere around the city. Stay tuned because we will be informing you about the activities to develop and join in Palma these weeks.
Palma stands out for the art. Do not hesitate to have a walk to visit private art galleries. You’ll find all styles there. We also highly recommend visiting Es Baluard contemporary art museum, perfect to visit the exposition and to eat something in the restaurant located there, with a nice overview of the whole Paseo Maritimo (maritime façade of the city).
These are only some of the plans you can do in Palma in winter. We hope you will enjoy them if you visit this wonderful city during this season!
